Westfield State University hosts popular “Stuff-A-Cruiser” gift drive to benefit victims of domestic violence

WHAT:         
The 19th Annual “Stuff-A-Cruiser” gift drive, sponsored by the Westfield State University Police/Public Safety, collects items including new unwrapped toys and new clothing, hats, scarves, gloves, toiletries, etc. for adult women to benefit New Beginnings Shelters for victims of domestic abuse, under the auspices of the Springfield YWCA. The University’s Residence Hall Association will sponsor a raffle for those who donate.

A Westfield State University police cruiser will be parked on the campus green for an afternoon to accept donations.

Donations will also be accepted in the Westfield State University Police lobby at 577 Western Ave., Westfield, until Friday, December 20.

This event raises approximately $4,500 total value in cash donations, toys, clothing and other items.
