Flexible, affordable programs designed for the working adult

Westfield—The College of Graduate and Continuing Education (CGCE) at Westfield State University will host a Master of Social Work information session on Tuesday, November 12 at 6 p.m. at the YWCA at Salem Square, 1 Salem Street, Worcester.

The YWCA at Salem Square is a convenient and accessible location for Central Massachusetts students interested in pursuing a master’s degree in social work. The MSW program at the YWCA Worcester location offers students the option to take courses part-time, two evenings per week.

The need for highly qualified and skilled social workers is increasing in the greater Worcester area due to the amount of social service organizations based in the community.

Fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, the Westfield State MSW program prepares students to become Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and to work in a variety of positions in the human services field.

“The MSW Program at Westfield State University was designed to be accessible and affordable for students while preparing those students to practice social work in today’s complex and technologically challenging world,” said Program Director Robert Kersting, Ph.D.

Information session attendees will have an opportunity to speak with the program director and the outreach team about the program and its application process.

The $50 application fee will be waived for all information session attendees. To RSVP, visit For more information, call 413-572-8020 or email
