Westfield, MA—Westfield Bank recently welcomed team members from Westfield High School’s Girls Varsity Soccer Team to the Bank’s main office at 141 Elm Street in Westfield to congratulate them on a successful 2019 season, in which they became the first girls team in school history to win the Western Massachusetts Championship. The team made it all the way to the state final, falling to Bishop Feehan High School 3-2 in the final minute of play. Westfield Bank donated the funds to purchase the team’s championship jackets.
“We are proud of the Girls Varsity team for their accomplishment,” said Westfield Bank President and CEO, James C. Hagan. “Their dedication and hard work brought them farther than ever before, and brought our whole community along for the ride. Athletics is a window into character, and this team showed Westfield at its best. Supporting them is our privilege.”
