United Bank is a Proud Teammate of the Springfield Thunderbirds for 2016-2017 Inaugural Season

The new era of hockey has emerged in Springfield this year and United Bank is
pleased to announce that they are proud and loyal teammates of the Springfield Thunderbirds – an exciting
partnership that aligns the Bank with the long and storied tradition of the American Hockey League (AHL) in this
region.

As one of the Thunderbirds’ top sponsors in their inaugural 2016-2017 season, United Bank will benefit from
various brand exposure opportunities which will continue to be seen by thousands of fans who will attend games
throughout the hockey season. Also, United Bank employees and customers are enjoying the opportunity to watch
competitive hockey in great seats at the MassMutual Center.

At the much-anticipated game called the “I-91 Rivalry” between the Springfield Thunderbirds and Hartford Wolf
Pack on Saturday, February 25, United Bank and the Thunderbirds will recognize local law enforcement officials
and emergency personnel throughout the game. The tribute will feature a patriotic display, including first
responder vehicles outside the entrance of the MassMutual Center as well as a pregame ceremony honoring first
responders.

With branches in various markets throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as locations conveniently
accessible along the I-91 corridor, it’s only fitting that United Bank will be a dedicated player in the “I-91 Rivalry” on
February 25.

“Hockey in Springfield is more than just going to a Thunderbirds’ game. It’s affordable family-oriented
entertainment. It’s supporting downtown businesses and our customer base. And it’s the opportunity for sponsors
like United Bank to reciprocate the kind of loyalty the Thunderbirds and team ownership have shown the
Springfield, Pioneer Valley and Western Mass regions. We can do all this together while watching great hockey at
the MassMutual Center,” said Dena M. Hall, Western Mass Regional President, Chief Marketing Officer and
President of the United Bank Foundation Massachusetts.

Players from the Springfield Thunderbirds recently visited United’s branch at 115 State Street in downtown
Springfield to celebrate the Bank’s support of the team. Boomer, the Springfield Thunderbirds’ mascot, has also
recently visited United Bank branches to say hello to customers and employees.
