The Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce Breakfast
The Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce breakfast was held on September 24, 2010 at the Air National Guard’s 104th Fighter Wing base at Barnes Municipal Airport. The morning began at 7:30 with a hearty breakfast including omelettes, hash browns, French toast, fruit cups and muffins. Several speakers were scheduled, including members of the National Guard, as well as Ira Bryck, director of the University of Massachusetts Family Business Center. Ira spoke about his experience in the family retail business as a fourth generation, and how he currently facilitates family business retreats to help others ease the transition from one generation to the next.
Mayor of Westfield, Daniel M. Knapik, was also in attendance and delivered a presentation concerning the latest developments and future plans for the renovations of downtown Westfield. A 3D Flash movie was played showing how the Great River bridges and parks will look within the next few years.
