10th annual HOOT (Helping Out Our Town) Day of volunteering in Westfield

Westfield State University student volunteers

The University begins the semester with more than 150 students committed to providing

community service at more than a dozen locations for public spaces, businesses and organizations in the City of Westfield. Students paint, garden, clean and perform other volunteer activities both indoors and outside.

Tuesday, September 3, 2019, 8:30 a.m. to noon
Kickoff ceremony at 8:30 a.m., on Westfield city green with Mayor Brian Sullivan, state Rep. John Velis and state Sen. Donald Humason Jr.

Various locations throughout the city, including Amelia Park Arena, Amelia Park Children’s Museum, Central Baptist Church, Columbia Greenway Rail Trail, Downtown Core District, downtown public parks and parking lots, George’s Jewelers, Second Congregational Church, Stanley Park, Westfield Public Schools, Westfield Boys & Girls Club, Westfield on Weekends and YWCA of Greater Westfield.
