MBK Looks Toward The Future With Three New Associates
With three new associates, Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. continues to evolve and position themselves for the future. MBK is proud to welcome Marie Lafortune, Natalya Riberdy and Haley Pedruczny to the firm.
Marie Lafortune comes to MBK as a first-year Audit Associate. She is currently focused on pension and 401k plans, HUD engagements and compliance testing for nonprofits. She also assists with tax preparation. As a recent college graduate, Marie brings a fresh energy and enthusiasm, as well as a curiosity that engages the expertise of the more experienced members of the firm.
Marie holds a Bachelors in Accounting and Healthcare Management from Our Lady of The Elms and will be pursuing her Masters of Accountancy at Westfield State University beginning in Fall 2017. Outside of the office, she loves live music, going to the beach and exploring Western Mass.
As a new Associate focusing on the service and construction industries, Natalya Riberdy brings a strong dedication to client service and a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected. Before joining MBK, she gained valuable experience as intern at a regional firm and as a Billing, AR and AP Associate in private accounting.
Natalya holds a Bachelors in Accounting and Finance from Bridgewater State University and is on track to complete her MSA, with a concentration in forensic accounting, from Western New England University. She will then begin studying for the CPA exams. When she’s not working or studying, Natalya enjoys volunteering at the Harvest Bible Chapel, lifting weights and running.
Haley Pedruczny comes to the firm with accounting experience across the real estate, manufacturing and consumer product fields. As an Associate at MBK, she works primarily on nonprofit clients and employee benefit plans, from small companies and schools to large corporations. Haley prides herself on being a team player and believes in personally connecting with clients to build a solid working relationship.
Haley graduated from the Isenberg School of Management with a BBA in Accounting and is currently pursuing her CPA license. After living in Boston and working for a national firm for a time, she is excited to return to the Pioneer Valley. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and horseback riding.
“Each of these women represent the wellspring of young business and accounting talent we have right here in Western Massachusetts,” says MBK Partner Howard L. Cheney, CPA, MST. “At MBK, we consider ourselves fortunate to tap into the vital resources of the next generation and bring them into the fold to grow and thrive along with the firm and our clients.”
