MBK Continues to Look Toward The Next Generation With Five New Promotions

With the announcement of five new promotions, Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. continues to evolve and grow. MBK congratulates Chelsea Cox, Lyudmila Renkas, MSA, Joseph LeMay, CPA, MSA, Francine Murphy and Dan Eger on rising to the next level in their respective departments.

Chelsea Cox began as an intern at MBK in 2015 and became a full-time associate the following year. In her new position as Senior Associate in the Accounting and Audit Department, Chelsea’s primary focus is on nonprofit and commercial audits and employee benefit plans.  Her commitment to technical development, client service and teamwork was instrumental in her promotion.

Chelsea holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Westfield State University and is currently pursuing her Masters of Accountancy at Bay Path University. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Outside of the office, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Over the past two years at MBK, Lyudmila Renkas, MSA, has served as an associate accountant in the Audit and Accounting department at MBK. Having recently completed her MSA, Mila will turn her attention to new responsibilities as a Senior Associate. In her new role, she will be responsible for planning and leading client audit engagements, internal control evaluations and pension audits. In addition, she prepares individual, partnership and corporate tax returns for clients in the real estate, construction, healthcare, and nonprofit industries.

Mila’s personal approach to service is to always exceed expectations and to take care of all the small details, allowing clients to concentrate on their core business. She holds a BS in Accounting from Elms College and Masters of Accountancy from Westfield State University. In her free time, Mila enjoys gardening, fishing and spending quality time with her family.

Joseph Lemay, CPA, MSA, joined MBK in January of 2015 as an associate. In his new role as Senior Associate, his responsibilities consist of being the lead accountant on review and compilation level engagements, staff training and tax planning strategy for clients in the in manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality and distribution industries.

Joseph holds a Bachelor’s in Business, with a concentration on Accounting, from Westfield State University and received his Masters of Accountancy there in 2015. He obtained his CPA license in 2017 and is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Away from the office, he enjoys basketball, rock wall climbing and watching sports.

Dan Eger, who has been with MBK since 2005, has been promoted to Senior Associate. Dan focuses on preparing federal & state income tax forms for corporations, individuals, and nonprofits. Dan has more than 12 years of tax experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. His experience combined with his relaxed and approachable disposition make him a tremendous resource for clients at all levels. In addition to serving as a tax preparer, Dan has developed an expertise in the firm’s specialized tax software, servicing as a resource to the entire tax department.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from American International College, where he graduated as a member of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

Francine Murphy, who has served as a paraprofessional in our accounting department since 2013, has been promoted to Tax Associate. In her new role, Francine Murphy’s responsibilities include preparing federal & state income tax forms for corporations, individuals, and nonprofits, preparing city/town tax filings, preparing annual reports and responding to IRS notices. Francine holds an Associate’s in Accounting from Holyoke Community College. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and enjoys crocheting.
