Westfield, MA—Westfield Bank is pleased to announce that Matthew W. Cuddy has joined the bank as Vice President and Area Manager. He is responsible for introducing Westfield Bank to the West Hartford community and the greater Hartford market. He will staff and manage the bank’s new West Hartford Financial Services Center—expected to open later this year—which will include a suite of offices for Residential Lending, Commercial Lending, and Business & Government Deposit Services; a full-service branch office featuring lobby and safe deposit services; and an image technology ATM. He will also lead the area’s sales initiatives, operations, and community outreach in advance of the opening of the bank’s twenty-fourth full-service branch office in the West Hartford area early next year and assist with the growth of the bank’s current Connecticut locations in Enfield and Granby.
Cuddy has held senior management positions in retail banking and branch operations for the past 25 years, first as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank and then as Vice President and Branch Manager at Fleet Bank/Bank of America, TD Bank, Webster Bank, and Farmington Bank/People’s United Bank. He is a graduate of the Connecticut Bankers Association School of Finance and Management. He is president-elect of the Rotary Club of West Hartford and an ambassador for the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
He resides in Meriden, CT with his wife and daughters.
