Heroes: Escape the Ordinary

Visit the Westfield Athenaeum this summer to take part in our summer programs! Summer isn’t summer without our annual reading programs for Children, Adults and Young Adults. This year, our central theme is Heroes. Our program is an excellent way for kids in grades 5 and younger to stay active with their reading over the summer. Kids can earn prizes, attend special programs and even become a hero for our local animal shelter. Our teens will celebrate “Unmask” as their summer reading theme. Teens entering grades 6-12 can earn “Library Loot” to use at a prize auction in September. Adults 18 and over will participate in “Heroes: Escape the Ordinary”. Readers can sign up to win themed raffle baskets, participate in book discussions and enjoy a Hero related film series. Adults are also invited to attend several programs over the summer. Our heroic summer will kick off on June 22nd and run through early August. We hope to see you here!

All of our Summer Reading Events and Programs are made possible by the generous support of the Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum. Without their enthusiastic participation, our programming would not be possible.  Our programs are free and all welcome to attend. Please contact the Athenaeum at (413) 568-7833 for more information or visit us on the web at www.westath.org .
