RN-to-BSN partnership program to maximize convenience, cost effectiveness for students
WHAT: Leaders from Holyoke Community College and Westfield State University will sign an agreement that creates a streamlined dual admission process for students seeking an Associate of Science in nursing at HCC. The partnership provides graduates of HCC’s associate degree program a convenient and cost-effective pathway to obtain a Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) degree through Westfield State University’s RN-to-BSN completion program.
Registered nurses with associate degrees from HCC can choose to complete the RN-to-BSN hybrid (online and on-ground courses) program at nearby Westfield State University or other established satellite locations in Northampton and Springfield.
Enrollment for this dual admission begins in fall 2019.
WHO: The speaking program at the signing event will feature:
- HCC President Dr. Christina Royal; and
- Westfield State University President Dr. Ramon S. Torrecilha.
