MEDIA ADVISORY – POSTPONEMENT
Due to inclement weather in the forecast for Sunday, Oct. 28, Westfield State University has postponed its patient transfer simulation involving Life Star to Saturday, Nov. 17
WHAT: A patient transfer simulation including a Life Star helicopter landing on Westfield State campus will take place. For educational training purposes, the in-field patient transfer simulation will be followed by a Q&A session.
WHO: Students enrolled in the University’s nursing, physician assistant, EMT, athletic training, and sports medicine programs, as well as area fire departments, including Westfield Fire Department, will participate. Life Star is a collaborative effort among Baystate Health, Hartford Hospital, and Air Methods Corp.
WHEN: Postponed to Saturday, November 17, 2018, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
