Berkshire Bank Invites Public to Help Select the Second Annual “Next Great Filmmaker”
Winner Will Receive a $5,000 Filmmaker Award, Voting Open April 15 to May 31, 2011
PITTSFIELD, Mass., April 18, 2011 – Help us select the Next Great Filmmaker! Berkshire Bank, America’s Most Exciting BankSM, in collaboration with the Berkshire International Film Festival, team up again to present the Next Great Filmmaker Award. This award is designed to provide increased exposure and support for short filmmakers and continue to invite the community to voice their opinion through an online voting process. The Next Great Filmmaker Award will include a $5,000 cash award given to the filmmaker who has the greatest amount of online votes.
The Berkshire International Film Festival will have the final five short films available for viewing on their website at www.biffma.com/nextGREAT and will have online voting available from April 15 through May 31, 2011.

The Berkshire International Film Festival, now in its sixth year, will screen 75 American and foreign independent feature films, documentaries and short films in Great Barrington, Mass. and Pittsfield, Mass. In addition to screenings, there will also be panel discussions, Q&A sessions with filmmakers and other events. The Festival will take place June 2 through June 5, 2011.
The sixth anniversary of the Festival continues to support filmmakers through the collaboration with Berkshire Bank to sponsor the Next Great Filmmaker Award for short film, and the Juried Prize Award for feature-length narrative and documentary films sponsored by GWFF USA, Inc. All awards carry a cash prize of $5,000.
Voting for the Next Great Filmmaker Award is open to customers and non-customers at www.biffma.com/nextGREAT. The winner will be announced June 6, 2011.
