Westfield State University to Hold Open House for Master of Science in Accounting Program
The College of Graduate and Continuing Education (CGCE) at Westfield State University will host an open house for the Master of Science in accounting program on Tuesday, January 30 at 6 p.m. in the Horace Mann Center.
At Westfield State University, the objective of the Accounting graduate program is to prepare students for management positions in accounting. Our Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A) program builds on the knowledge and tools from a students’ undergraduate education and experience from the working professional, allowing them to achieve a greater degree of sophistication in accounting and auditing. Furthermore, our M.S.A. program can allow students to meet the 150-hour educational requirement for the Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) license in Massachusetts.
The M.S.A. program at Westfield State University is hybrid, with coursework split between in-person and online. Students may enroll on either a full-time or part-time basis. With two curriculums, the M.S.A. program welcomes students with or without an accounting background who are looking to earn an advanced degree in accounting. The Foundation Curriculum offers students who have a business background, but lack coursework in accounting, to earn their M.S.A. The Advanced Curriculum offers students who have an academic background in accounting to complete their M.S.A. in a little as nine months.
Open House attendees will have an opportunity to speak with faculty and members of the Outreach Team about the program and its application process.
