SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT HONORS WESTFIELD STATE ALUMNUS, WESTFIELD RESIDENT
For the sixth consecutive year, the Kareta family of Westfield will hold a scholarship benefit to honor the memory of Joe Kareta on Sunday, September 18 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Summit View Banquet and Meeting House in Holyoke.
The event will include a buffet dinner, cash bar, and live music by the Union Jack British Invasion Band. The purchase of a $20 benefit ticket automatically enters individuals into a raffle for 300 lottery tickets and additional raffle tickets are available for purchase with prizes including a lobster cruise down Cape Cod, Patriots game tickets, and golfing at East Mountain Country Club.
“Westfield State University is proud to be involved in this event that pays tribute to one our alumni families and celebrates Joe’s positive impact on our community. This event and scholarship are meant to keep his memory alive by helping other students whose contributions enrich our campus community,” said Dr. Erica Broman, vice president of Institutional Advancement at Westfield State.
